Name: Navendu
Profession: Software Developer
Equipment: Olymous C-350 (P&S), Canon EOS 400D
Lenses: Canon 18-55 f/3.5-5.6, Canon 10-22 f/3.5-4.5, Canon 70-200 f/4 L
Favourite Subjects (of Photography): Landscape (Nature) & Action.
Intended Objectives: I would like to improve my knowledge about photography as much as possible so that I can capture those beautiful places I see, when I travel, in an every improving manner.
Background: As a kid I played a lot with my dad's b/w film camera (don't even remember the name) & then when he moved to Yashika, I used it like I owned it. Then there was more than a decade long gap when I again realised what I am missing by not photographing.
In 2002 I started to travel and I wanted to capture the beautiful country of mine in those small boxes (also known as cameras). In 2004 I bought my first camera (Olympus C-350, a P&S) and when the features of it felt a bit too less for my liking, I decided to upgrade.
In 2007, I was all set to pick Canon S3 IS when a few photographer friends (hope they don't mind me calling them like that:)) of mine suggested me to prefer a SLR over another P&S if I was serious enough. Hence came in Canon 400D with the kit lense and in 2008 I added two lenses (10-22 & 70-200) to my bag.
