Lets have it in shifting gear kind of section.
I need to discuss this.
I was honestly vouching for this car, but the total cost of ownership of this car seems to be on the higher side (seems to be higher than City). And after reading the bitter experiences of skoda owners, I would rather say its better to wait for something from fiat.
The linea T-Jet is in pipeline and I would seriously think about it if they come out with the dual-logic. Fingers crossed.
@Ken are u planning to upgrade your 1.6 ELX? Man don't sell that legend. In my case I am going to keep my 1.2 ELX.
EDIT: And this 105 bhp is nothing to vouch for. But its the VW quality to die for. I somehow did not like the Vento looks though.

Pricing has been a speculation. I did not realise that it would be higher than the City! I guess it would for "German" engineering!
I have been driving my 1.6 ELX for 7 years now! Do not know what to do with it. It would be a pity to give it up. I have been looking for an upgrade, but nothing around me looks "spectacular" enough to tempt me in the "handling" department. In fact, in the handling, nothing even comes close! So I am stuck. Which is why I too am waiting for something from Fiat!

Kenda, u covered this "Unveiling of the VW Vento, July 06th, 2010"? Great! When did u come back from that Indo-French road trip? Great pictures.
Sorry, can't comment much about the car or its German technology. :D
P.S.: U were invited to cover this event? Asking coz, I see many ppl covering such events but when I go to any auto showroom, I'm not allowed to take any pics! :) Hope u don't mind me asking this.

This is a media event. You are supposed to shoot this. At times I get invited, at times I just walk in. I represent the media. In such an event, I will always be welcome to shoot such events.
But in a showroom it is a different story altogether. That is a private space and they would not like it to be shot unless you have a specific purpose in mind in which case you have to deal with the showroom manager.

Increasing the boot for a hatchback will not always work in the looks dept. Swift dzire, Manza are some examples. When bonnet is tiny, extended boot will appear a bit weird. But this is miles better than the Dzire and much better than Manza.
Linea is one of the greatest looking car from Fiat, if its a bit more wider, it will be even better. all OT :p nice photo edit anvancy !
