The little fella demanded a Zoo Trip last Sunday!

I tried explaining to him that it was the first Sunday of the new year and there was going to be too much rush... but, he wouldn't budge!

So, to the zoo we went! I didn't even bother with multiple lenses. Just slapped on the Sigma 18-200 OS on the 400D... and off we went. No Battery grip or any other accessory at all. With the wife and the kid, this wasn't going to be a 'photography' trip in any case..

So, here's a couple from there..

Vulture.. she was massive in size!

Loved the framing of this one

Just to illustrate how well they camouflage in their surroundings as most of their mammal prey are color blind...

On the way back.. he was so tired, he fell asleep!

Overall, he had a blast!

Thanks for looking:)

P.S. These are actually just 'snap shots' and not really for critique... just wanted to share a nice outing with you guys:)

The 3rd and 4th do not look normally exposed. I mean they look like there has been some PP.

I liked #2 the best. The rest of them are lacking something or the other. The lioness pics would have been great but they don't pop out from the background.

These look more family album oriented than flickr :)

Almost all my photos go through some standard PP like levels / curves / USM & cropping. The 3rd has gone through the same. In the 4th pic, there was direct sunlight falling on the front trees whereas the lions were in the shade. As I exposed for the lions, the trees got a little over exposed... the only other PP on this photo other than my standard routine is I 'burned' the trees slightly to better match the overall scene:)

Thanks mate:) yes, Its a vulture!

Thanks PS! Feedback taken... these were actually shot in a 'point n shoot' manner with my least sharp lens. They are definitely not my best photos from the zoo. Just wanted to share a good time:)

Exactly! Didn't really want to put them in the Photo Critique section, but couldn't find any other relevant sub section.

Maybe we need a Photo Sharing sub section:)

Man! The "thinking monkey" shot is a perfect portrait! I loved it.. :) It easily qualifies to be posted on the 'Outdoor Portraits' thread! :D
