Hi guys!
It took quite some time to find a few photographs that I would consider my best work (from a large collection of more or less useless photographs that I take to learn photography).
I am Raunak Mehta, working in Hyderabad for a software company. Software was my first love, after that came photography... My father's business was such that he always had a number of digital cameras for his employees. They were always the cheapest point & shoot cameras from brands like Olympus / Kodak / Canon / Nikon. I used to play with these cameras all the time. Gradually, prosumer cameras started grabbing my attention. After reading a lot of reviews online, I convinced my father to buy me a Fujifilm S5700.
After buying this camera, I used to experiment with the manual settings which more often than not used to give me horrible results. Thus, only my experimental photographs used to be in manual mode... Otherwise my camera used to run on Auto. But after reading the camera's manual and some online content, I slowly started understanding what aperture, shutter speed and all the other stuff meant and only then I realized the capabilities of this camera which I now consider some serious value for money and one of the best platform for a beginner.
This is my only camera and I do not own any lenses. I know very less about Digital SLRs and almost nothing about lenses and filters and I am pretty sure I will get to learn a lot from this community which has some excellent photographers around.
Anyway, here are some pics:
