Why is it a steal? That seems about par for normal prices. The standard kit lens with the d90 is the 18-105 which is more expensive than the 18-55 theyre packaging it with. Considering they havent mentioned it, the 70-300 is going to be the G version not the AFS VR one. So you combine that with the 50 1.5 and its about the same price more or less. Again, i am not talking about prices in india, but according to prices overseas its about par.
They are giving some wide angles and what not of undisclosed branding which arent going to be particularly expensive anyways.

Looks like not that much of a steal then does it...

Pretty much the same. The prices are about par for international prices. Compared to the prices in india, sure, theyre a steal indeed, but then again, prices for nikon are quite a bit cheaper overseas than in india anyways. Incidentally, theyve reduced some of their prices quite a bit. The D90 kit now goes for 59k white (2 yr warranty official nikon price) and the d3000 is 24k (same deal). Which is quite nice i guess. Still a fair bit off from intl prices, but much better.

what about the accessories they are offering other than the standard kit? D90 has in body AF right? so lens without AF will matter?more over the freebies are VFM or they cost less in india? what about the site?is it safe to buy?

Ok, yea the D90 does have AF in body. However, if you are referring to the 70-300, the difference between the G and the AFS VR isnt only the AFS and VR. The AFS VR is miles ahead optically. The G is not particularly good and exceptionally soft at anything over 200, the newer one is sharp all the way through. Theres a world of difference between the two. As for the freebies, its up to you, i dont think theyre particularly VFM or anything. And there are plenty of sites out there which are reliable, reputable and do ship, so i dnt know about this one anyways.

I also found a few other sites with similar offers but all of them are US based so trusting them is a bit difficult.

Something to keep in mind, if you're looking for white kits then do please confirm if they do have international warranty or not. Most of these shipping sites are based out of the US. I am not sure of that particular market but most manufacturers are giving only a regional warranty nowadays to precisely discourage what you are doing now, so need checking about that. The reason i mention this is, i know for a certainity that nikon sg does not give intl warranties, however i beleive HK does. So keep that in mind. If you're ok with the grey market, why not look in india itself, from what i've seen so far the grey market prices are pretty much compatible with intl prices anyways.

couple of indian sites including this one have a buy and sell section. Secondly jjmehta has some good prices for the with bill stuff. Thirdly, you can find new grey market anywhere, i dont know about tvm, but cochin has plenty of places to find it in.
