i had been waiting for the CHDK firmware to be released for my cam: finally i tried out the beta version.

first thing is getting it to load and work itself was a task. but once you find out the trick it is easy.
so far i have not been able to use this hack to override the standard options in camera but camera for sure captures the RAW images. but the problem is that i can't get any of the standard foto editing softwares to open it. can anybody here help me. 've tried few of them including the ones mentioned in CHDK portal (picasa, rawtherapee etc).
other than this the UI is now loaded with other displays like live histogram, lens temperature, battery charge, memory available etc.
there are host of other features which i need to understand and explore : there are couple games thrown in too ;-). in all 'm loving it : getting your camera to do few extra things can sure get you excited.
