I wish there was a way to take camera or DSLR or even a simple point and shoot inside the stadium :(.Only Mobiles are allowed .not even coins lol.Astmosphere inside the stadium was just amazing .Even though India lost the game against England, and pakistan lost against South Africa .Still it was a memorable experiance :).I'm all ready to watch rank play off (even it is for 7th and 8th ) match of India either on 11th or 12th of this month ..whenever it is :)

Hockey World Cup Approved

Nice shots. It is a pity that they would not allow cameras into the stadia. These are some of the disadvantages of living in a terrorist threatened third world country!

yep ,it is.I have a feeling it is more realted to copyright,similar to what happened in winter olympics ,canada ..I hope they do allow cameras during commonweath games ..otherwise it will be terrible :(

I am happy to see Hockey Stadium at TPIN.

For Hockey fans in bangalore...the world biggest(by team count) hockey tournament is starting next month...It is the Kodava Hockey Festival in Coorg.

Approx :250 teams - over 3000 Players (Several International and National Hockey veterans play for their Family teams)
Played on hard ground the traditional way.
Age and Sex - no bar for Team members.... with 13 year kids to 65+ aged Grandpas.

The Final matches are as competitive as National League matches...watched by over 20000 people..

As of Today I have plans to visit/capture the Inauguration Ceremony and Final Matches.....
Anybody interested can join me....for a ride to Coorg.

Very interesting what you said there. Most of us "up" here are not even aware of such a Hockey tournament "down" there.

I would not rename this thread. After all it is the world cup. I know that there is no substantial contribution here. But I will open a sports thread the moment we notice that there is substantial involvement in that domain. Earlier Manas was taking some superb shots in basketball matches when he was at Clemson.
