While shooting rashtrapati bhavan day before, my diopter adjustment got tinkled.

Then in that light, I was unable to set it back to zero. Goddamn canon also does not have a zero marking. #(*$#$ irritating.

And the illuminated rashtrapati bhavan didn't help in getting it right either!!

Ideas? Quick methods to figure it out?

/tried taking diff shots but focus was off - very draining at the end of a long day!

Query Approved

Why not focus at a point in AF (the AF red dot blip and the beep) and then adjust the diopter without moving the cam from its place?

in low light select one AF point and get to focus on any light point.

that should fix it...

Pretty much the same advice I gave him earlier. Works like a charm every time.

Well, I was shooting at a distance of about 150 ft from Rashtrapati bhavan - and was unable to get critical focus for the lights.

Synn's advise was to find a nearby subject and use the 50mm for the same!! :)

Yep, the 50 helps because the tighter DoF makes it easier to see what you're focusing at.
