This is a seven shot panorama of the Petronas Twin Towers
Shot all the seven images with my Canon 400D & Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 EX, Manual Mode, Manual Focus, 1/30, f/4, ISO 1600, Hand Held.
Stitched together with PTGui, removed noise with Neat Image and then slightly sharpened with CS3:)

Looks like besides Birds, you are quite fond of dramatic night photography too! I remember your Diwali series.

This is the view of the Kuala Lumpur City at night... shot from the revolving restaurant on the top floor of the 421m KL Tower. I had no tripod with me and braced myself against a wall as i shot this hand held at 1/6secs.

Great stability there at 1/6 of a sec. And how did you manage to get rid of the noise of 1600?
Maybe you should do some contribution on the Night photography thread.

That was with the help of a wall.. however there's visible camera shake blur in the 100% crop. As for noise, the newer canons are pretty usable even at ISO 1600. The noise isn't really an issue for small sized prints or web sized viewings unless you bring up exposure in post processing.
Here's a 100% center crop where you can see both the noise and the camera shake:eek:
