Hey Guys,
- This is Sumit. Software Engineer by profession. Based in Bangalore. I am fond of biking and trying to learn photography.
- My interest in photography kicked off on the Himalayas trip (http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/4911-leisure-ride-leh.html) that I did in July with xBhpians Prabhu, Sunil sir, Chetan and Mohan.
- After the trip I picked up Cannon400D from Sunil sir and since then trying to learn photography though the learning curve is too much in my case :p
- I always get confused between the basic terminologies of photography like Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO, exposure, etc :D
On the Himalayas trip I got a camera from Sunil sir and I tried taking pictures of my own. But did not experiment much with the settings and I used only the auto mode that Sunil sir had set up for me as I didn't want to mess up the snaps of such beautiful places.

Following are some of my clicks:
Right now I own the stock Cannon450D.

Guys don't get mad at me for my photos :D if you don't like it. I am starting from practically zero knowledge in photography. Learning click by click :)

Welcome thePhotographer Sumit!

Keep shooting, keep changing your settings, keep shooting some more, keep looking at your results and you will realise how fast you climb up the learning curve. You can learn only by shooting on your own. You cannot shoot by looking at others shoot and keep dreaming.

C&C welcome.

The first two are decent photographs. The first one is quite good. You could have cropped out the sky quite a bit and it would have looked even better.

If you want your photographs to be critiqued, you could have started a Munnar thread and asked for critique. Members rarely would go back to look into an Intro thread for critique. I hope you understand what I mean.

Yeah that's right. I also have some suggestions which might help you to shoot better but it's better to post critique at the right thread.

Mods can we move the posts to the new thread?
