3rd January 2010, First Anniversary Photography Meet

Hello Photographers,

We are having a photography meet to commemorate one year of thePhotographer.in the details of which I am furnishing below.

Time: 0800 hours.

Check Point Charlie: Bajaj Probiking Showroom, Connaught Place, Radial 6

Destination: Old Delhi Evidently we will take the Metro from CP!

Motive: Some more street photography!

Nice. It would be good to roam around the streets of Old Delhi and click some pictures. If I am in Delhi and not going out of station (since 2nd and 3rd January is a weekend), I am definitely in.

6:30am, Chandni Chowk won't really be bustling, I believe. This photo-walk (at Old Delhi) would be more to capture the 'essence' of the street rather than anything else; expressions, daily life, and the likes. That is what I believe, and hence the timing (0800hrs.).

And I feel that even 0800 hours is pretty early. Ok Aryan, Hitanshu, lets go... Lets meet at 0730 hours at CP. And then lets move it. Vitesh has not replied yet!

I never said I'm not gonna shoot post 8am or am complaining. We're just having a mature discussion about the timing! Maybe you read it wrong.

Infact, tell you what I'll land up in Chandni Chowk directly. If I wake up in time, it will be 6am-ish. If I wake up late, I'll still land up by 8 :D

Will be driving in so would prefer to meet directly than park and then taking the metro/anything else.

@Tau: You plan to DRIVE till Chandni Chowk? Okay. I'll prefer to take the Metro, rather because it is much more convenient for me. :) Would be good to shoot some pictures with people like you and Ken da.

I come from Gurgaon. At any time - it is infinitely preferable to come all the way compared to parking in Palika Parking, then the congested metro (esp on the way back!).

And I'm a no gooder at photography - just starting out. So it'll be my privilege to shoot with you!

Oh, extremely sorry. I did not know you stay in Gurgaon. Shooting and learning together would be the best thing to do on the 3rd January, 2010. What better way to start the New Year than to shoot photographs! :)

As said earlier... lets meet at Radial 6 in front of Bajaj Probiking. If you guys do not want to come out of the Metro, let us know. We will come down from Radial 6 entrance.

Further... if the timing of 0800 hours seems too late, we can meet at 0730 hours or earlier or later as you guys feel. Just let me know by EOD. I will change the header post accordingly.

I will try to join in although I have not been keeping well since the past few days; cold, cough and fever. Anyhow, if all goes well, and I feel any better, I will try and join this g2g.

The last tPin G2G I attended (at Qutub Minar), which was incidentally the first ever thePhotographer.in G2G was really good. :) I am sure, with this G2G scheduled at Old Delhi, it would be even better! How I wish I was 100 percent fit! :(

P.S: With the smog/ fog in Delhi each morning, I wonder how clear/ crisp/ vibrant the photographs would turn out to be. :( Anyways, I believe there still remains some creativity to be had from the fog/ smog. ;) :)

Please try to come. You will see aspects in this kind of light, that you will not get otherwise. Besides, there are typical aspects of "cityscape" and "architecture" that you will get to see as well. And please do get some of my cards as well. (V-cards!)

I share exactly the same apprehensions. Anyways, I have atleast been keeping fit - there was only one man walking around South Ex wearing only a tee shirt and jeans! :p

Anyways, well or not. Get your ass there. If you need picking up - coordinate with Ken da or call me. Nau Nau ek shunya shunya do saat cheh do cheh!

PS: I may reach only around 8ish. Need to do some work before I head out so unlikely to be there early - esp troublesome to drive in this fog!!
