Here's the condition for this photoduel (EDITED):-->
No Weird Photoshop, PaintPro, etc. editing. Post processing obviously allowed... In all, the photo should show your Photography skill, not Photoshop/ PC skill, ok?
Upto 1 MP size (1152x864 pix) is acceptable.

1. No after editing. However, you may use any options while taking the snap...

this is restricting the scope of this duel...dslr s will be able to get something out but what about the lower end p&s...PP is essential in my opinion

^ Post processing, that a camera does after snapping, is obviously allowed... I was against Photoshop Artistic-ness...
In all, the photo should show your Photography skill, not Photoshop/ PC skill, ok?
I should have cleared this up... my fault. :p I edited the 1st post now.
What about us RAW users?
Well, I think I clarified above, what I meant ...
Ok Guys, enough gossip... Now POST ENTRIES please.... :D

Extreme post processing can be done in camera too. :p
Define this 'Photoshop Artistic-ness'. I mean, any set values for USM, Contrast, Levels, Curves, Gradients, Vignettes?

If your camera does all these things (contrast, usm, levels, etc..) then make FULL advantage of it ...
BTW I updated the condition in 1st post ... Your pgrhy skills is to be seen, not PS Skills... Point is "photography". That's it. :)

@ arijit: Of course that's fine ... What's wrong? It's a nice image ...
More images guys ...

So, in camera processing is somewhat more righteous than post processing in software? Anyway, I'm outta this thread since the rules really don't make any sense to me. Why have rules in the first place and limit yourself? I really don't know why Processing is so frowned upon these days.

OT: I guess the people who don't have the time/patience/interest/knowledge on post processing are the ones who are 'frowning' upon PP. :D
My message to them is learn PP :p

even if someone uses any s/w for photo enhancement, the composition can not be altered...thats the photography skill for you. what kind of frame you captured, the kind of moment associated with it, lighting and such factors make a photograph...not the software. it is just a tool for enhancement and there is nothing wrong with it.
if you are thinking about digital artistry, i don't think any photographer likes to alter his/her images so much...no brushes, nothing!!!
leave about the rules samarth, it is a good duel you have started...let the images pop in...your first image was nice...PIN down more :)

of course - but i'd be the first one to exclude any PPed pics from a photoduel :D
hence my reply above!
The other way to say is to only evaluate images on composition nothing else!

@ Xavier, Praful, etc. etc.: Guys, you talk too much but where're your images??
If you don't like rules, break them. Why whine like that over a 1 liner? :D
And please if you post again, post skillfully shot images, rather than posting imaginary stories about people you don't know..
---
@ arijit: Hmm... Your point makes sense. It seems PP can't substitute good Cam Skill.
My rule was based on general rules in college competitions or so... I guess we'll do any PP from now on, if it looks better.
---
@ Inder16: How man...? Well, you're the winner so far, for me... How did you make those images??
Burnt hands if any, are not my responsibility man... :D :D but great images!

I think, you set the shutter to some 3-5 seconds, and then moved your burning matchstick, while its being recorded in one frame...
Man, that's a simple old trick, but applying it in right places creates results!! Like it did here..

Good sensible use of diagonals. Such use lends power and character to a photograph.
