Upgraded the processor in the above desktop from Dual Core E2140 (1.6ghz, 1MB L2 Cache) to an E5800 (3.2 Ghz, 2MB L2 Cache)

Also plonked in an nvidia GTS450 1GB DDR5 Graphics card...

Updated specs...

Its the Asus G53SW.

I7 2630QM.
8GB DDR III 1333 RAM
750GB 7200RPM HDD( Upgradable. i.e. two HDDs can be fit in. a SSD or so.)
15.6" Full HD LED Backlit Display.
Nvidia GTX460M 1.5GB DDR5 Video Graphics.
One USB 3.0 Port.
HDMI
and the usual Bells and Whistles.

Separate Cooling for the CPU and the GPU.

One of those lappys which has a Numpad.

In the initial weeks the LCD went kaput.It had a vertical RGB line going through.

The service center replaced the LCD and now gave me a Samsung Matte 314C and its good.

The price that I paid during my transaction was Rs 53900 given the rate as 49.

This laptop is not available here. its bigger brother the G74SX is available for an official price of Rs 1,24,000.
