Hi to all shutterbugs!

Name: Kiran
City: Chennai
Occupation: Technical Writer

Background: I always have this dream of clicking some great pictures every time I'm out on a tour. But I end up returning disappointed; my photography skills are that worse. Although I have not made any improvements on my phtography skills till date, thanks to the fact I do not own any camera, I strongly believe this new platform would provide all that I need.

I'm an avid tourer and have developed a habit of setting off on a tour every month - either on a bike (with xBhp friends) or on a trek (with my trek gang).

I might be gifting myself a good camera in the near future (quite optimistic, I am). I believe this forum would help me in all aspect of becoming a better photographer. I'm looking forward to meet some of thePhotographers in offline workshops. Thanks!

Favorite subjects: I'm an amateur when it comes to photography. No favorite subjects; I MUST learn all that I can. That said, I have a slight inclination towards Nature, in general. :)

Camera and lenses: Canon S3IS (my friend's). Will buy one soon.

Favorite photographers: Late Galen Avery Rowell and Frans Lanting

Looking forward to a wonderful journey! Thanks, all!

A few pics I shot (through the Canon S3IS):

You photos are far from worse. And dont worry wish and it will be here. You will own a Camera soon, the entry prices for SLR's are lower then they've ever been. Go out and get a D40 you can find a good used for one 10K
