Lets share some before/after shots here, since many people are averse to post processing.

i enjoyed this editing very much because the original photo was taken against the likes of a mobile camera in very low light conditions without flash. the noise was there and is still there but i think it is much more appealing now than it could have been with simple contrast and brightness adjustment!
now i have set it as my wallpaper!!!:D

Interesting. Its almost as if you took it down by a couple of F stops. What did you do?

@ Arijit

Good job with the edit, especially considering the equipment used for it, however its looking too underexposed now. You've lost all details in the upper part of the image.

I'll play.

I'm really really sorry for the really sloppy brushwork. I just did it quickly because I knew if I didn't I wouldn't later on. Maybe I'll correct it later. I shouldn't even be posting this.

That's my Software Group Lead, Kevin on an amazingly crazy origami crafted RC8 at the KTM booth at Indianapolis. They were giving out rides, but needed paperwork in place. Damn.

I know he looks a little washed out and the lighting on him doesn't blend in too well with the rest of the lighting. also He's got the dreaded 'halo' and once again sorry for the sloppy brushwork. Gotta run.

Gnite!

Freaking awesome. By god ki kasam, that is the ****ing problem with all of my pics. And I used to think I am the one who takes BS pics.

sala dude, come online and teach me how it's done. I've been ashamed of my ladakh pics with the FZ7 - now it seems not so! Tell me ....!

some lab xperiments....lolz
i used PS and LR. in PS i duplicated the layer and applied the gaussian blur. then i turned the layer style to overlay , varied the opacity to kill the extra glow. in LR applied contrast and some highlights. also increased the dark content to reduce the colored fringes.

@xavier-->
i do agree with the underexposed part...but the details had gone worse after color correction. so increased the dark area. what i had in mind was that the high contrast between water and rocks will keep the photo presentable even with the loss of details.

Tau, don't get brainwashed with the PP addiction. Good pictures are good pictures. I think of PP as an alternate art form, not photography.

Slight tweaking is still a part of photography. Yeh jo mein ungli kiya hai, I don't consider it photography at all.

@anvancy: Yup.

@Ken: Me too. :) I just love how the bikes' color and texture looks in the After. I think I'll give it another go.

Increased contrast, pushed black clipping, saturated blues and desaturated purples a bit. :)
