I am a member of another photography forum, a photography group where I work (www.shutterbugs.in), I bumped into this nice piece of info.
This is regarding your rights as a photographer of what you can capture and what you can't.

However, as the author himself reiterates these things vary in different nations. Is there any article which is India specific?

I don't think I saw any info specifically for India. But I think we can take things mentioned as a guideline while taking pictures.
