These were the natural colours? Or did you post process?
Those are completely natural colors. No tweaking done on that front.
Edit: Best part is, I had to force my friends to wait for me for a long time! It was all too cloudy till this uncovered itself :)

We don't get too many sunsets like this in this city. The sky was brilliant throughout the day and as I was heading home after work, I was in two minds as to head to the gym as per my original plans or to head home, grab the camera and shoot, as I ended up doing. I reached the vantage point a few minutes before the light show ended, quickly arrived at the composition I wanted and started shooting. I'd have never forgiven myself, had I chosen the gym instead of this.

Pretty good processing man. Share your PP if you don't mind. I know it'll be along the lines of our recent discussions, but still.
Critique: I'm not saying it'll be easy, but can you eke out more detail from the buildings?
No problem. I started out with a tone mapping from two exposures, one ETTR and one overexposed(Not HDR) in Photomatix, but might as well avoided that since I ended up crushing the blacks anyway. :D Basically, I went for medium contrast and a very balanced histogram in photomatix.
Did the customary DxO color mapping, back into lightroom and pushed the yellows further away from the reds to have more depth in the gradients. Since the rain clouds had some blue reflected in them, I lightened the blues as well.
Funny thing, I had plenty of detail in the buildings. But as I was processing, I felt that the sky is the star of the show and keeping the buildings light would just prove to be a distraction. I REALLY do wish that the residents of those buildings switched on a few lights though. Damn treehuggers... but I digress.
That's what I felt today though. I'll try bringing back some of the detail into the buildings and see how that goes.

Did you get the originals right?
Nothing can beat a correct original image straight out of the camera. In literal sense this 'quite a good composition' is totally spoiled due to PP.
Also there is a heavy noise in there which I suppose has been unknowingly induced by lightroom.

Would recommed to see the scenary through your camera and not through the lightroom..
I would love to see the original image (with slight 'corrections') .. I am sure this image has an appeal.
These comments are coming from my experience.. I was an avid 'manipulator', but realised it was not photography after seeing the originals of great photographers.

I am making all these confident comments since I have gone through the stages.. I was an avid 'manipulator', but realised I was not doing photography after seeing the originals of great photographers.
Here is the workflow :
1.Apply graduated filter to the top section of the image, decrease the exposure.
2. Change the white balance
3. Adjust contrast ( just used the preset for Medium contrast).
I haven't added/played with the saturation or hue or any of that setting. Kinda of clueless. I will be more than happy to share the originals and see you work on it. Can you PM me your email ? Will send the RAW file to you.

Adjust the WB if it was not correctly set in the camera. Otherwise use the grey point to adjust it. CaptureNX2 is the best software to understand Nikon RAW.
For contrast adjustment, if you use the contrast slider then it may end up with blown up highlights. Make use of curves, levels instead.
Again, change the setting only if it is required, not every picture needs a PP if camera setting in field was correct. This is something which needs major attention rather than PP.
