Congratulations on your new buy. I am glad that you finally got your first camera. I have been eagerly waiting for this for a very long time. You got some stunning shots there; notable among them is the staircase shot. Remind me of the great filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.

Nice collage, good creativitiy there. I recognise that wonderful highway next to the railroad tracks cutting through the Aravalis mountain range 20kms from Udaipur. Good work and keep them coming.

Keep shooting! :)

Edit; There are more than just a "couple" of photographs there. Thankfully!

thanx Ken for those kind and big accolade, mate that's great great words for me

BTW, most of the shots are shot on the same stretch of the highway
but a disappointment is the blurred tunnel at center in the panorama

and other issues i faced is the noise in the candle-lamp, got this shot by enhancing the NR

congrats boney! Seems you are off to a fine start with your new gear! I liked the one with the stairs and the pulsar tail pic immediately below it. Click lots more!

Keep shooting... that is the only way you will realise how you improve with time. The more you shoot often, the faster you will climb this ladder.

Thanks for sharing your experience and attempt at progress. Good to see that you are continuing shooting. You should.

Comments: Your "Girl in rain" is all blurred. The B&W of the ramshackle vehicle is quite nice. The one after that as well. You can improve a lot on your PP work. Play around with photo softwares, with curves, contrasts etc.

if u notice the pic of the girl, the focus is on the wires, i tried to capture the droplets but the eventual pic dint turned out as i want it to:(

I did notice that the focus is on the wires and did realise that you are trying to experiment. And I appreciate the fact. You will get there, do not worry. You should have shot 10 of those shots. It does not cost you anything but patience. :) Keep shooting!

could you please tell me how the above shot was taken . is it a panorama ? or is it a particular wide angle lens ? or a shoot mode in the camera ?

i use a SONY p&s. DHC H10.

thanks mate.

Have come across these shots quite a few times and have tried panorama on my cam (figured i could stitch the shots up)as well but the lack of a tripod has me giving a lot of unsuccessful attempts at this .:)
Next investment a tripod.:)
