A friend of mine got a Canon 5D MarkII. These are some shots with the camera with a 70-200mm lens and a 25-105mm L USM IS lens.
The camera feels very good in the hands and the shutter sounds excellent. Only had the cam for an hour or so.

Nice composition of photographs using anonymity as an expression and yet conveying strong feelings in 3 of the 4 photographs, liked them a lot!
Besides that, would like to know how did you feel using the 5DII. I am asking you this since I feel that you could have shot these shots even with your first Rebel, the 300D!
Brilliant shots there, sunny.
The 5D Mk II has been a camera that has impressed me for a while. These pics give me no reason to believe otherwise.
BTW, there's another reason for you to like it. The recently announced firmware update enables it to have full manual exposure controls during video recording (And puts it on par with the D90 in this regard). Ain't that a great feature to have?

I have a question which may sound pretty naive ..
The clarity wat u get at tele-end, how much is the camera VS lens ratio of contribution ?
Long back I have shared a link about a guy named kedar who uses a Nikon D3 with a 200-400 . The clarity was such that i can properly see the face of pilot flying a sukhoi.
If by any chance I get a big aperture tele lens then will my puny D40 will be near that clarity? How much full frame vs DX counts here...
The per-pixel detail that full frame sensors can extract out of an image is astounding. As per various expert photographers, they can resolve more detail than what most lenses are capable of, save for the highest end, pro lenses. Some even say that they are within a hair's width of film's resolution power. Which is why there's no point mating a 5D Mk II or a D700 to a run of the mill, variable aperture zoom.
Using a fast pro-tele would indeed help you take sharper pics, yes; but you'll be wasting all that resolving power on a sensor with only 6.1 odd mpx to go with. Yes, with DSLR sized sensors (APS-C or full frame), megapixels do matter.

Wow! Some A+ photos there! Loved everything about them, the idea, the execution and finally the PP:)
However, I felt a sense of emptiness in #1... maybe its the lack of a 'face' in a 'full-on portrait' that is not going down well with me....
Terrific lighting though:)
