It's basically the old Alpha 200/300/350 repackaged in a new body. The sensor is the same. Although, the firmware seems to have been upgraded, which man result in better high ISO performance (An area where Sony is lagging behind right now).

The Alphas are fantastic VFM and offer a lot for what they are worth. Rumored to come soon is a mid-range Alpha 500(?) with HD recording. Should be interesting.

Super cool man... The telephoto Zoom lens was not available as an add on when I bought the camera!!! Else would've surely bought it!!! Surely its a steal!!!
