Here's a pic of my sister(s) :p

I don't know the exact term but I read about it somewhere and decided to give it a shot.
Rested the camera on a stool and used the self timer option to shoot the 2 pictures. Worked on layers in Photoshop and and used the eraser tool. It was difficult because the swing was in slight motion thus resulting in slight misalignment of the 2 images.

Good job. I cannot really find the misalignement. Nice one there. Initially just looking at the photographs, I thought "twins"!

Nice, little experiment there. They do look like twins at the first instance. :)

Thanks Ken, glad you liked it.
Well, it (the misalignment) isn't really visible unless you zoom in considerably on the original files. ;)

Here are a couple of shots from the same series

If you notice properly, this is a result of some very poor photoshopping. The rails on the back rest the swing on the right side are missing. :|
I really don't know how I missed it.

Ok. Now from twins, we are getting triplets.

LOL, Photoshop is not a very good proponent of family planning. :p

There's also a pic with 4 of them, but that's too weird. Underexposed pics, misalignment, too much noise, etc etc.

ha ha. Whenever u ask for the workflow for any image I just imagine your facial expression u might have made.
What might be going in your mind when u see edited photos .. something like "Damn !.. how do these guys know these much of PP, when my turn will come??", or "God, tonight please send all these knowledge into my brain while m sleeping" :D:D ...

Chill it ,its not that difficult as it may look like :)

what we are talking here is composites.

composites is where u combine intricate parts into an image.the best example that we can see is the ramayan and mahabharat stuff.background is green and only characters are there.later background is added.movies have it.

there is a rather free program called microsoft group shot.see if u can get it..its way simple and way fast than photoshop.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2109/2238946750_dc2c27765b.jpg

you mask what u want and leave the rest.camera stability is utmost important.even the settings should not change.

This is my first attempt at anything using Photoshop. Hope it is okay.

Looks fine to me. Is this a self portrait?

No sir, not in the true sense. Though I'm the subject, and I adjusted the camera settings, I handed over the camera to my roommate to take the shots. No tripod, and the wind was so strong, self-timer would have resulted in camera shake.

One more from my side. Please forgive the flaws.

This one's titled "Me against myself"

Interesting me likes, but lacks any drama or interestingness if u know what I mean. But that's not what you were attempting now. 2nd one looks a bit dark on my monitor.

Thats true, these are just attempts for recreation and learning Photoshop. :)
The second pic is shot in low light so it is a bit dark, and my face being all sunburnt adds to it! :D

Great job, Anirban! Especially considering the fact that you used a P&S which would have definitely changed exposure over the two shots.

Here's something I had done last year, out of boredom:

Thanks bhaiya! You can actually make out the slight difference in exposure in my first shot, along the centre line.
For the second shot, it isn't evident because I used the lasso tool to cut out my outline accurately from the original shot.

And thats a cool one there you've posted! Looks like the gentleman on the left isn't too pleased! :D

Oh okay. It isn't visible or very prominent in these web sized JPEGs. Anyway, good job. You need a DSLR asap.

This one was a little tricky because of the waves in the background.

This one's REALLY nice!

Even if you forget about the photoshop manipulations, its a lovely photo in its own right! Great lighting, nice composition, beautiful background, excellent mood and to top it all - identical twins!!

Here's what i did a couple of years back...

But, did you know that there's a way wherein you can achieve similar results, even with ZERO Photoshop work!!
