View Full Version : [photoDuel]: Sepia?

Xavier

I simply love those old grainy Sepia pics and decided to give it a shot on one of my sky pics.

After a pseudo HDR followed by some processing in PS (changing the tone, adding grain, etc), here's what I got.
http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p160/xvrdsouza/IMG_5149_sepia_small.jpg

I'm pretty pleased with the result, hope you people like it too.
Oh and please post your Sepia pics here.

Bad choice of subject for a Sepia, I know. But I was playing around with a few sliders my newly installed Lightroom and kinda liked this one. :)

It does. Nice shot!

Two questions:

1.What time of the day was this shot?

2.Which mosque is this?

Around 4pm after noon
its the same mosque , sheikh zayed mosque abu dhabi, built by using the same stone used for taj mahal :)

Good idea! However I am not a great fan of Sepia in such circumstances. I will tell you why... I associate Sepia with aging. And here, the spiral bound with the style of the pen is not depicting signs of aging. Sepia here seems artificial, you get the drift? But this is my personal call. As I said, it is an interesting idea and a decent photograph and a decent sepia treatment as well.

Is this part of your hometown story project?

Yes it is.

This house is about 70 years old and is deserted. A Banyan tree has grown right across it's roof. There are certain rumours that the house is haunted!

All this elements enhances the photography experience!
