Hi Guys,

Here is an attempt to show the progress of Total Lunar Eclipse over Bangalore on December 10th 2011.

Clouds did play a spoilsport for most of the time.

I tried, but the 55-250 canon lens I had with me at that time for some reason just wouldn't focus. Yes, even manually. The clouds were rather terrible too.

That said, it was a spectacular sight, especially from the 29th floor that I was watching it from.

Had just got back from work.. was standing in the balcony finishing a phone call... and noticed the beautiful full moon in the clear sky.. ran to get my camera and made a few images... this is as fresh as it can get!

Yes it was shot with the 400mm 5.6 L prime.... hand held... and manual focus!

100 ISO @ 1/320 of a second @ f5.6. Great shot.

Shot with a Nikon CoolPix P500, this the best I could get till date. I would have loved to have a sharper image, but with Manual Mode on, this was the max focus I could juice out from it's 23-810mm lens

When it is raining Moon..on this thread...Let me add one more to it.

Taken from 300f 2.8 + 2xtc 1dmk4. I must admit it was not a perfect weather condition to shoot Moon.

No matter when you capture it... how you capture... the Moon never stops amaze!! The closest one can get the heavens :)
