The Lamborghini Gallardo is a sports car built by Lamborghini. The Gallardo is Lamborghini's most-produced model to date, with over 5000 on first three years of production. Each car costs about $180,000 to $210,000. The car is named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The Spanish word gallardo translates into "gallant," and from Italian into "striking".
The production spyder model of the Gallardo was first unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January, 2006. It is considered by the company to be an entirely new model, with 512 bhp and a lower-ratio six-speed manual transmission. The soft top is fully retractable.
Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer was the first person in North America to take delivery of the Gallardo Spyder.
Hereby, I present a few quick shots of a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder 1:18 Scale Model, owned by a very dear friend of mine - Bandhav. :)

I am sorry for not being able to post the pictures of the wonderful interiors that the model has, as the available light was seriously low for shots of the interiors.
The model is really lovely -the detailing, the looks, the finishing, everything is top-notch; REALLY well worth the price.
Equipment Used
Camera - Canon EOS 400D
Lens - Canon 100mm f2.8 USM Macro lens.

Photo Feature Approved
It is not everyday that we get to see a photo feature of a car being shot with a Macro!
Thanks Aryan. Lovely shots there.
Did you also touch up the shadows?

Thanks. :) Ah! It was quite tough to shoot a car in the available light with the 100mm macro lens!
I did touch-up the photographs overall, using Adobe Photoshop CS-4. :)

Nice shots Aryan. But not a realistic feel though.

Probably, shooting it against a backdrop of something like the India Gate, and on real tarmac would be the thing to do. ;) I'll try and arrange for the same in a few day's time. :)
This is strictly my opinion, but I feel that the DoF is a bit too tight in most of the shots, Aryan. Also IMO, it's not really advisable to go too close to photograph scale models as all the undulations on the surface would be clearly and plainly visible.

Tough proposition. But I think he can find a way of doing it.

I was shooting at macro distances. Hence, this tremendously shallow depth of field even at something like f14 Synn. :o Nevertheless, I guess next time, I'll try and shoot outdoors which might give it a different feel altogether. :)

Aryan back to his fav subject of photography ... The Macros.. !! ;)
As Synn already suggested...you shouldn't go that close to the subject..
OR
You can venture outside and try to click the same pics again...i am sure we are gonna have different results.. ;)

I too agree with synn. I think u can try from a little distance and then crop the image, this way most of the portion of car will be in focus, I dont recommend hunting for a bokeh in this case.
Secondly a macro box is a must thing , your shots are revealing the plastic details, plus the reflection from the glass base is also adding to scaled model feel.
One completely different suggestion if you dont mind- Man spend some more bucks and get a good quality scaled model.

There is a premium range in Modelart (kept in a separate showcase). The models have a very sharp finish and is made of solid metal. Weighs around 2 kgs.
I have a foto but it lacks quality (outta focus). My friend has a Nissan Skyline, the price is around 3500 bucks.

Anytime buddy.
This is the shot I have. All the three models are from Modelart but differs in quality and prices.
The skyline in silver is the best one which is for 3500 bucks. The Ferrari and Dodge are also from Modelart but priced at <1000 bucks ro something, they are very light and quite plasticy. There is a clear difference in quality.

@Aryan: Lets plan a shoot after your trip, we can do something on the line of earlier india gate shoot.
@sp: even paying for these bburagos has badly delnted my financially, as far as better quality models are concerned, autoarts will take their own sweet time in coming.

Ferraris, Lamborghinis and the likes! Seems like we are going to have an Italian gathering soon. If only we could arrange for some Dukes now (Ducati 1098S or even the 1198S).. :D
