Hello friends, shutterbugs and fellow artists,

A big thank you to Ken and Sunny for the invitation to this fabulous forum and i look forward to learn a lot and share as much here.

My passion for Photography started about 4 years back and armed with a kodak reel camera i always had an affinity towards nature and wildlife (the four legged variety) :D , whenever we used to go on bike trips and family drives i always used to admire the lush green fields against the sunrise/sunset background and used to click a lot, then i got pretty serious and invested on my first P&S a Canon S3 IS, with this particular camera i learnt a lot on composition, using aperture for a controlled DOF, freezing action etc..

My forte has always been wildlife photography;I got serious about this after seeing images from Sudhir Shivram, Jayanth Sharma, Ganesh Shankar,Dr.Ajith Huilgol, Kalyan Varma who happen to the crème de la crème of Indian Wildlife Photography. Pursuing quality images i invested in my first DSLR - Canon 40D (my choice of religion depended on the fact of availability of various lens choices for wildlife). I started off with a modest medium zoom 55-250 IS. I must say this is one of the best lens for the beginners out there and its just a fab piece of glass for the money you pay. As time progressed i discovered the limitations because of the reach and IQ and i upgraded to a 100-400L which is just a brilliant lens to capture assorted wildlife. I intend to use this setup for a very long time till I am personally satisfied till i exploit the equipment and my abilities to the fullest. i enjoy doing landscape and macro photography too.

Equipment Owned presently:
Canon 40D
Canon 18-55 f 3.5 - 5.6 IS
Canon 100-400 f 4-5.6 L IS
Manfrotto 055XPROB
Manfrotto 488RC2 Ball head

Some of my work, (I liked all these photos, mods please delete them if they are exceeding limit)

Redrage, GOOD to see you and your images here too, after xBhp. And I have always mentioned, those wildlife (bird) shots are tremendous.

I also love the 100-400L. I would love to get that lens someday soon. :) :) One of my all time favourite lenses - the 100-400L.

Finally Dilip, we get to see you here. I have been expecting you. Stunning images up there. I think your contribution to the "birding" thread (besides others) will be vital.
