How u liking the tamron lens?? Me just sold off mine 15 days back :) Didnt like the lens much...Motor very slow and also focus issues when clicking on 300mm...:(

Frankly I have been using the lens & camera for 2 months or so,so I'm still in the honeymoon period.DSL-R is a completely new world for me so I'm still coming into terms.

Regarding the lens I agree with whatever you said and too add the images are not sharp & low light performance is very bad. But I will still keep it for some more time as I don't have the budget to go for a new zoom lens which will cost upwards of 35K. I will buy a new one though but it will not be a zoom one.A new thread will be up very soon;).

Btw which lens did you bought?

Guess what you guessed it absolutely right;).One week back I had zero knowledge about type of lens & the kind of lens but now I've gained a lot of knowledge courtesy google baba.Now atleast I know which all lenses I need just need to order their arrival properly:).

I will start the new thread asking for suggestion for that new prime.

@MG: I bet once you get a 50 mil. f1.8 for as low as Rs.4k, you won't require anything else for a LONG time! ;)

Out of those one is definitely there in my wish list but bhai itna bhi paise nahi hai ki 400mm f5.6ke sapne dekhun or even a L lens.

I am somewhat sure, it might just be the Canon EF 100mm f2.8 USM Macro lens. ;)

Anyhow, we all are waiting eagerly to actually see which lens do you finally decide to get. As for money, that is where everything ends, my man! :( Even I am not able to get an 'L' series lens JUST because of 'no money' syndrome!
