How did you shoot this?
I mean, the mirror and the model are on the same plane. How come one is in focus and the other not? In photoshop?
Here comes Raj again after sometime.
Nice shot. Good lighting.
No it's not Photoshop, it's normal. The distance in the mirror is always far.

I thought about it. But I did not think that it would make such a stark difference!

Been busy of late, didn't get much time to click. Took the day off to relax a bit, and came up with this.

The blur (of the strings) gives the feel that the guitar has been strummed. Nice pic.

Thanks buddy..
BTW I have found the View NX-2 to be an ultimate software for my kind of use. Since LR and PS and any other software including aperture and iphoto are unable to handle the D300 metadata information and each of them behave in a uniquely wrong way.
I was surprised to see the options available with View-Nx 2 which comes for free :-D ..

Ha Ha..
I don't know why, but some how I'm really intrigued by vast empty seating spaces in public domain! Its somehow brings to light the over capacity and inefficiency we build into our systems:rolleyes:
And the newly renovated PINK seats were providing quite a contrast to the otherwise all grey and dull Bangkok airport:p

That is an awesome shot Sandeep!
I especially loved the Black and White processing that you did there. Also that Watermark does not actually seem like a Watermark at first glance. If you use an old Font style then it will blend in very well there.
I think Still Life Photography means Photography in which the photographer has total control over the subject's lighting. Am I true Seniors?

Still Life I believe would be "still inanimate". Lighting could be available, not necessarily controlled.

Certainly not. It is surely the WB of the photograph and the glasses that is giving that feel of the photograph. I liked it though.

To see what one can do with still life there is a small example here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/photofanatic_photography/4175458788/sizes/l/in/photostream/).
Not a great shot, but quite decent and I am hinting at members to shoot this quality.

For the second one, even though I used a tripod, I lost sharpness. The camera isn't sharp in low light. I was a little disappointed with that.

The shadows and highlights have been well taken care of. If you could give more contrast between the shadows and highlights in such shots, it would enhance their look further.
