I got a chance to drive a tank and shoot action in a training field. This is the result of around 3 hours on the field. There are lots of other photos which I cant publish due to security reasons.

It was an amazing experience to see these massive seemingly invincible vehicles in action. I was often hypnotized by the mass and power they exuded while on the move. 1000+ bhps working to get such a humongous mass on the move with only one purpose - defeat the enemy. Even the training 'safe' environment was hostile - with the hard sun beating down and the GIANT clouds of dust being given birth by these metal behemoths was amalgamation enough to bring out more than a sweat. I shudder to imagine how must be the conditions in the real battlefield where the nature is the least of your enemies.

A big salut to the soldiers and brave men who defend our country night and day!

Equipment Used to 'shoot': Canon 450D, 400D with 10-22mm, 100mm macro, 70-200mm f4.

Lovely photographs, these. I clearly remember the days when I happily used to take tank rides, back when my father was in the Army, posted in Jammu & Kashmir. These pictures surely brings back those memories. :)

Good shots Sunny, thanks for sharing.

Liked #4 - clouds of dust near the wheels, #14 - silhoutte and #18 - biuld like a tank .But a question @Sunny - none of the equipment (including 70-200 f/4L) you used were weather sealed and you shot among a cloud of dust and smoke so would like to know how you managed to shoot.
