View Full Version : Real Masti @ Small Town Wedding!

Hi,

Had the opportunity to attended a cousin's marriage last month in a small town called Digboi. This was so different from the weddings in the big cities. The people are so open, friendly, appreciative and accommodating on everything and really know how to let go and have fun:) No showbazi.. only true unadulterated masti!:)

Had a blast of a time!

Here's a collage I made from the "Geet Sandhya'

You might find some portraits excessively distorted... but this was intentionality created by getting 'in' the dancing crowd and shooting facials @ 18mm with the camera barely 10-12 inches from their faces... to get that fun look:)

Photo Techniques Approved

Some great moods, some good portraits... though some portraits I do find distorted because of getting too close with a wide angle...

I like quite a few of them... not all... good start to Wedding Photo Techniques.

Like I've just added in my post, the distortions in the close up portraits were intentional and i did this to get that funny, merry feel and also to get their reaction to a huge camera lens pointed at them, barely 6inched from their nose;)

You're spot on mate!:o:p

That's me with my sister.. and that's my brother in law behind us. Note how the cam focused on him instead of us as I had forgotten to change the active AF point from center to peripheral:mad:
