vegetable markets have a lot of activity.and in the mornings its on a peak level.new vegetables in arrival mode, rates have to be set, counters have to be arranged..many things.

went to capture some of these..

and what i came back was that people are indeed friendly.they like interaction.so when u show them their snaps, they feel happy and even give suggestions.it was really fun and a challenge for the camera, since it is low light inside the market.

the Mahatma Phule market in PUNE is the prime market.its 100yr OLD built by the British during their rule.precise architecture and functioning.

went in the morning at 7am,to get the shots.
mostly at 400ISO no noise removal applied.
the workflow was LR then PS.

really it was a learning opportunity regarding why we are DIFFERENT.

here it goes.

Very good idea. Really appreciate this kinda effort. My kind of stuff. Some of the photographs are really good. The portraits deserve a special mention, N°6 for example. The weighing scales are terrific as well. A good collection in all. Bring on stuff like this Anvancy.

Edit: Some photographs show vignetting...

thanks Ken.glad you liked them.

i have purposely put vignetting since thru it i can bring focus on the subject.its my personal taste.many pros do use vignetting to focus on one part.

the 6th one is my fav too.spot metering played a great role.that was an advantage that i had over the 400d which my friend had.:p

First of all, hats off to you for even attempting a 'session' like this. Clicking pictures of unknown people is indeed a very difficult and intimidating task ad requires a lot of courage. And, then coming out with such great shots on the very first outing is indeed very commendable:)

This is the type of photography that help you grow as a photographer... gives you the ability to tell a story with a photo.

Although I liked all the shots (except the HDR's :o), these are few that really stand out !

thanks vicky.

yup.you really get to learn a lot.and its like u pay respect-you get respect.even just showing them their photo makes them happy.some even give suggestions.they too are eager how they look in a particular shot.

i felt satisfied that the fuji didnt let me down, and it came out with clean results where 95% shots are in 400ISO mode, zero noise removal.its the blend of eyes hands and how the hands use the equipment, differs one photographer from the other.

Great work Anvancy!

I agree with what you say mostly Vickash. Save for the photograph above where I feel had we been able to see the man's face a bit more, it would have been terrific.

I also agree with the part about growing as a photographer working on the street with strangers, in available light, making the most of giving surroundings, circumstances.

Hi Anvancy,

I've just got a great idea for this shot below..

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3546/3389280669_104a71057e.jpg

If you could provide me an uncropped original of this, I might want to give it a go:)

that is the uncropped one.

when i took this shot, the person's face was not in my mind.but the person engaged in the activity.the shot is taken, while the person is turning the pages.i could have easily got the person's face.but wanted to show that he was engaged in reading.
