Name: Balamurugan aka Bala
Based out of Bangalore, frequently traveling between Bandipur / Mudumalai and Bangalore and infrequently between Bangalore and Kodaikanal as we have guest houses there.
I am more interested in wildlife / bird photography
Been learning about photography since I borrowed a Pentax K1000 from my uncle in 1990 after I joined PSG Tech and the photography club.
But honestly still learning about correct exposure and framing especially in reference to bird / wildlife photography
My present equipment is Canon 400D, canon 100 x 400 L series lens, 18 x 55 kit lens
I do have a SLIK AMT tripod and vangaurd ball head and a monopod Velbon Neopod (but have never used this set of equipment)
Inspirations: Jayanth Sharma, Kalyan Varma, Sudhir Shivram (all wildlife photographers)
My three best photographs?
I will put up 4
The first three are good in terms of exposure and framing with the birds and langur providing a good photo opurtunity
The 4rth one was a wait and shoot game as 2 malabar giant squirrels were fighting for turf (control of tree top) and finally one decided to run away. The only way he could run away was jump across two trees and run on the ground and jump on another tree. It was a worthy wait of half hour
Best regards
Bala
