Hello everyone...
This is Ketan Nikharge here. Those who are on xbhp may recognize me...
I am a beginner in this world of photography and till now I have been more in front of a camera and not behind... But ever since I joined xbhp and started making long long trips on my bike and specially since I started writting my trip logs, my passion for photography started increasing. Now a days the situation is such that I have only 2 best friends.. My bike and my Cam..
I am from Mumbai and uptill recently I was working with an MNC in Pune. Now I have shifted back to Mumbai and right now am helping my father in his business and searching for an equivalent job in Mumbai.
My main objective to join this forum is to learn through your comments and suggestions. I am never shy of sharing my pictures, no matter they are good or they are bad. I am hungry for your feedback because that's the best thing that teaches you. So guys, please feel free to teach me..:)
I didn't have a proper tool for photography till now. I used to use my Nokia N95 and some times used to borrow my brother's Canon SX100 IS for taking pictures. I was saving since way long back for a good camera and recently managed to buy Nikon Coolpix P80. My dream Camera - of course in compact cameras was Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28, but some how couldn't jump till that price. Anyways, something is better than nothing.
I like landscape photography(Sun rise pictures) and close up photography the most. I also like doing bird photography, may be that's the reason I chose to buy an ultra zoom camera.
My most favourite photographer till date is undoubtably Sunny Sir.. I can spend hours looking at those slide shows of his pictures and try to learn things out of it.
My girl friend is a photographer too. She has done a certification course from Pune University/Deccan Education Society - am not sure about it. She is planning to take photography as her proffesion after completing her studies. She right now owns Nikon FM10 SLR and is planning to buy a DSLR soon.
I think that's it.. I have said too much about myself..:p
Gathering 3 of my best shots is very tough thing to do because none of my shots right now are eleigible to be posted on this forum, but I'll do the formality..Please excuse me if I post more than 3 shots..:o
