Hi,

It was 4pm on Saturday the 24th Jan and as usual, I was in office, on the phone with my brother in law.. I said that there were two days holiday ahead (25th sunday and 26th republic day) and how boring the coming weekend was going to be... then he suddenly said that instead of grumbling, why not do something about it... made a few calls here and there and by 6pm, the six of us (myself, wife, yashu, sis, bro-in-law & neice) were in the car and on way to Kaziranga... about 225 kms from here:eek:

Before leaving office, I had booked two rooms at The Landmark Woods, a newly opened premium resort... about 1km inside the jungle from the National Highway. There's a lot of construction going on in this stretch of the highway, and we reached the place tired and exhausted at 11:30pm. The tiredness was soon swept away by the freshness in the cool jungle air... the large flower filled garden lawns and the spacious & clean rooms..

Freshened up, had some dinner and tried to put the kids to bed... useless attempt... having slept in the car, they were now too charged up to sleep again. We sat by the bonfire and had some self roasted corn and sweet potatoes... finally retired to for the night by around 2pm:)

Having seen the beautiful garden the previous night, I woke up early the next day to capture the flowers in the morning dew..

A Cottage at the resort..

Critique Approved

Numbers 4, 5 and 6 have left me searching for vocabulary. But then none of these photographs reflect Kaziranga! But then that is not important. These are good photographs and that is what matters, be it in Kaziranga or in Burkina Faso!

@vicky - slightly OT, but would you be kind enough to show how you reverse mount lenses?

I use a $10 reversing ring adapter for canon EOS mount bought off ebay. Similar to this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Macro-Reverse-Reversing-Adapter-Ring-52mm-for-CANON-EOS_W0QQitemZ270305295749QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLens_A ccessories?hash=item270305295749&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A15|39%3A1|240%3A1318):)

Lovely shots Vicky. Can't find a fault in any of them ;)
BTW, Can you please explain the working of a Reversing adapter ring? If you could do a writeup in the Experimental techniques section, it would be very helpful :)
