Hi All,
As most ppl here found my way in through xbhp. Nice Initiative Sunny:)
For me as of now 'Photography' is about capturing the moments, memories and experiences rather than an art in itself. Thus not sure if i can call myself a photographer yet. But off late i seem to be spending more time looking through the lens more than the eyes. Anything interesting i see, first thing i think is "wish i had my cam now!".
Was more interested in being in front of the cam. Thus happily went on trips without a cam. Letting my trip mates do all the hard work. Later i wanted to captures some moments in my way. So started out with a Phone cam first as saving memories is all i was looking at. More than a year with it with more than 2k clicks. Though i liked the convenience in taking pix, had to spend more time on post processing. Few of the pix of my fone K790i :

Was getting interested in 'photographs' too along with memories. And about time i out grew of the *fone*. Wanted to get myself a proper cam. SLR? too lazy to lug it around. Then i looked at something with a trade off between size and functionality and went for Sony H10. Very compact, easy to handle cam with a decent optical zoom of 10X. Have been trying out things since i got it and a few pictures from the cam:

Especially like taking night shots.
Since traveling is my other passion, it helps in getting a variety of input for the cam. Though traveling and photography complement each other, i do find them competing at times. Find myself in the dual whether to stop and click or continue enjoying my ride. Guess it may take some time to find balance :)
As of now the cam goes with me every outing and will invest in bettor equipment if the bug bites harder. :) Hope to learn and share here.
cheers,
praveen.
