I need your advice about a PHOTO CONTEST held by HASTPA in association with Himachal Tourism.
I'm doing this for the first time and dont have many strong contacts in Delhi. It would be really kind of you if you could help me . i require some enthusiastic photographers to join in the contest. Please Advice me and it would be a great help if you can post this to the members of Delhi Photographers.
THE DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Himalayan Adventure Sports & Tourism Promotion Association (HASTPA) is coming up with a photography contest for the 6TH edition of HERCULES MTB HIMACHAL from 22nd October to 30th October 2010.
CATEGORIES:
· PHOTOQUEST 2010- 22nd October to 30th October
· ECO PHOTOQUEST- 22nd to 24th October
ABOUT THE CONTEST:
· The contest shall be open to a maximum of 15 participants.
· There shall be a preliminary round of selection.
· Priority would be given to first 100 entries.
FLOW OF EVENT:
Max 5 photographs per participant ( 12” X 8”)
Last day of Prelim selection 8th Oct, 2010
Shortlisted TOP 15 to be reported by 10th Oct, 2010
Eco Quest from 22-24 October 2010
Finale Quest from 22-30 October 2010
ENTRY FEE:
Preliminary round: No Entry Fee Shall Be Levied
Final round : No Entry Fee Shall Be Levied
NOMINAL CHARGES
PHOTOQUEST 2010 for travel, logistics, accommodation and food for eight days: 4999/- per person
(The above charges include 10 photographs per participants)
ECO PHOTOQUEST for travel accommodation and food for eight days: 2499/- per person
(The above charges include 5 photographs per participants)
We're charging this amount because we don't have any sponsor for the Photoquest as of now and HASTPA is bearing almost half the cost (actual cost aproxx 10k) . But if any amateur photographer really deserves to be in the contest we can negotiate this further.
PRIZES:
All participants shall be awarded a certification of participation.
PHOTOQUEST 2010 : First, second and third prizes shall comprise of a Cash Award of Rs 15000, Rs 8000 and Rs 4000 respectively. There shall be a few consolation prizes too given in the form of merchandise etc.
ECO PHOTOQUEST: Cash Award : 10,000
The prizes shall be awarded in the Closing Ceremony likely to be held on 30th October, 2010 at Shimla.
