My name- Bibudesh Kumar Rohit (Rohit in short)

My Occupation- Working as a Data Architect for a Reinsurance company.

I was bitten by this bug 1.5 years back during a short trip to US. I was surrounded by a team of data architects who had one thing in common- fotography and Nikon (and database of course)!.. Looking at their work like landscapes, underwater, faces etc. they all intoxicated me!.. I also wanted to shoot like that, and so I started!.. still learning....
I am on a verge to learn and shoot macro and planning for an equipment upgrade as well..
Expecting a lot from this forum - to share what I have learnt and to learn what others have to share!

My Equipment- An all time fav Nikon D40 with 18-55mm kit lens, a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens and few accessories to stuff in my tamrac...

Projects done in past- They are all personals and very less exposed to outside world. My sister's wedding, my best friend's wedding, My Andaman trip and XBHP GTGs coverage.

Favourite Subjects - Nothing in particular, my equipment is best at Portraits and landscapes, so I mostly specialise in that.

Favourite Photographers Cliff Mautner,Raghu Rai as in common to all, Fred Miranda.

Some shots-
This is my sweet little/intelligent/sensible/notorious cousin Sehal

I thought so too... "Ask yourself what the usage of the final image would be. It is one thing to shoot for personal records, and quite another to shoot for a specific campaign or publishing..":mad: Who told her you were shooting for a campaign? The lady actually seemed clueless... Also, she obviously has little idea about biking as she couldn't even recognize the shape in the frame as that of a bike;)

Nonetheless, its great that your shot got published and you're even getting a nice gift:)

BTW, when did u send the photo? Printed or by mail?

you said it.. I had the same feeling about the comment she has given :o.. I sent via mail. That batt charger has only to be preserved as I don't have equipment which uses AAA or AA :o ...

@Sunny- That foto was taken in a city short GTG. NICE road, bangalore when I was killing time while waiting for the bikers to gather up. One of the foto taken that day has made it to the xbhp home page :)..:)

The D40 is a humble little monster. I loved it when I had it. Nice pics.
